MOONCOIN
Honoring one of crypto’s earliest legends,
now revived for a new generation.
About mooncoin
MOONCOIN ($MOON) traces its origins back to 2013, first envisioned by @MooncoinItalia
as part of BitcoinTalk’s early crypto lore. With a total supply of 384 million coins - symbolically matching the distance from Earth to the Moon - it became one of the earliest tokens to blend mathematics, symbolism, and community into blockchain history.
This Solana-based revival honors that pioneering legacy, paying tribute to one of crypto’s original trailblazers. It stands as both a memento of innovation and a continuation of a visionary journey that began over a decade ago.
Now, twelve years later, the vision returns - reborn on Solana. Backed by public support from the original team, who have retweeted and engaged with the new community, this relaunch aims to carry MOONCOIN back to the Moon - cementing its place once again in crypto’s story.
MOONCOIN LORE
The first lunar landing was performed at the Sea of Tranquility at 20:17:40 UTC on July 20, 1969.
In July, 2014 there was the 45th Anniversary of the lunar landing by the Apollo 11 Astronauts. On this date, Mooncoin began to release one MOON for every USD spent on the Apollo space program at an accelerated rate (for a while).
